Russian Cabinet Crisis

Vladimir Vladimirovitch Putin, the currents president of the Russian Federation, has ruled Russia since Boris Yeltsin's resignation from 1999 to 2000 as prime minister. Having been elected president in 2000 and remaining in power until 2008. He was again prime minister until he was elected president again in 2012 with 63% of the votes and again in 2018 with 76% of the votes in favor.

The Putin administration is very important and relevant in both national and international level. The government drew attention to major political and economic reforms and approved big anti terrorists measures - such as monitoring social networks. Putin also showed dedication on the statesman stance, the rescue of Russian nationalism, and especially new tensions with the US, Western Europe and other countries. A lot of disagreements with NATO and support for separatists in Ukraine were also major marks left by his government.

The war and relations between Russia and Chechnya are old and bloody, but Russia has never stopped exercising its imperialist power on the territory. Even in 2017, to the shock of the international community, a Russian concentration camp for homosexuals was found in the region.

Is also known that relations with Crimea are not going well. Military power is constantly being deployed to the province because of Russian interests in view of its geographical position and influence.

Venezuela is probably the country we have been having more information and discussions about. The election of Hugo Chavez had a huge impact on Venezuela and its international relations. Russia is clearly the largest supporter of the Chavez government, having a direct influence on the political and economic decisions of the country, which greatly irritates some countries such as the US and the European Union, voracious opponents of the current Venezuelan government.

Not to mention the Russian influence in Syria and Ukraine, the two largest Russian Army battlefields. We invite you, dear delegate, to discuss and solve insurgency struggles involving the Russian Federation.
